SleepBound Privacy Policy

1. Introduction & Overview

SleepBound is committed to protecting your privacy. SleepBound is designed as a local-first application: your customized ambient sound mixes, timer preferences, and settings are saved locally on your device and are never uploaded to any remote server. We also use limited, anonymous analytics and advertising services, described in Section 4, to understand how the app is used and to support free access to it; these services never receive the contents of your sound mixes or in-app settings.

2. Information Collection & Use

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, location, or contact list. You can use the application completely anonymously without creating an account.

3. Local Data Storage

The app saves your settings and preferences (such as your favorite sounds, volume levels, saved mixes, and sleep timer choices) on your device using local storage. This data remains on your device and is deleted if you uninstall the application.

4. Third-Party Services & Payments

To support app functionality, we integrate the following third-party services which may collect data in accordance with their own policies:

• Google Play Billing: Used to process premium subscription purchases and to let you manage or restore them. All financial transactions are handled securely by Google Play. We never receive or store your payment details. See the Google Privacy Policy.
• Firebase Analytics (Google): Used to understand how SleepBound is used — for example, which features are opened and whether a free trial is started — so we can improve the app. Firebase Analytics may collect a pseudonymous app instance identifier and general usage events. It does not collect your name, email address, or the contents of your sound mixes. See Firebase and Privacy.
• Google AdMob: We show banner advertisements, and offer an optional rewarded video ad that unlocks one premium sound for the night, to users of the free version to support development. Google AdMob may collect and use advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID) and telemetry data to serve and, where you have consented, personalize ads. You can manage or reset your ad identifier in your Android device settings. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, we ask for your consent before serving personalized ads. 5. Children's Privacy

SleepBound does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Our app is suitable for general audiences. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal data, please contact us so we can take immediate action to ensure it is deleted.

6. Data Security

We do not collect or store personally identifiable information on external servers. The anonymous analytics and advertising identifiers described in Section 4 are processed by Google in accordance with Google's own security practices. We recommend securing your mobile device with a passcode or biometric lock to protect your local settings and purchase access.

7. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the application and on this page, and by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this document.
